Corinne Bennett Studio is located in South Slope / Greenwood Heights. Students attend weekly private and group classes and participate in two recitals annually. Corinne is a Suzuki certified teacher and has taught with Kelly Howard Studio, Brooklyn Youth Music Project (BYMP), and the Brooklyn College Preparatory Center.
Corinne accepts students ages 5+ and welcomes families both with and without musical backgrounds. The Suzuki method focuses on ear-training, parent participation, and character development. ABOUT ME
Corinne grew up in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn, and began studying violin at the age of seven. She holds a M.M in Violin Performance from Brooklyn College, where she studied with Jessie Mills of the Horszowski Trio. She has studied chamber music extensively at the Decoda Chamber Music Festival (DCMF) and the Maine Chamber Music Seminar (MCMS), and has received coachings from members of Argus Quartet, Attacca Quartet, Spektral Quartet, and the NOW Ensemble. She performs regularly with the String Orchestra of Brooklyn, Park Avenue Chamber Symphony, and Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra.
Corinne is a Suzuki certified teacher. She completed her Suzuki trainings with Rhonda Cole, Marilyn O'Boyle, James Hutchins, and Susan Baer. Her students attend weekly private and group classes and participate in two recitals annually. She has also taught with Kelly Howard Studio, Brooklyn Youth Music Project (BYMP), and the Brooklyn College Preparatory Center.
